Answers to Frequently Asked Technical Questions
Our alarms have a battery back-up that will power the alarm system for 4-48 hours during a power outage. If you lose power please review these helpful hints.
When your alarm system is running on the back-up battery it will say "No AC" in the display window.
When the battery gets low the word "BAT" will appear in the window and the keypad may beep. Entering your code and pressing "OFF" will stop the beeps. Don't worry if you lose power long enough to drain your battery. When power returns the system will return to normal operation in the same state as when the battery was drained.
When the power returns, the battery will automatically be recharged in about six hours.
Loss of power may turn off the keypad chime heard when you open a door. You can turn your chimes back on by entering your four digit code followed by the "9" key.
Call the monitoring station, you can find this number on your keypad door under "to cancel an alarm".
Remember to test your system monthly
